OPENING
I grew up with a relatively narrow definition of success: Study hard. Work hard. Earn more. Buy a home.
Those can be meaningful choices. But my instinct always told me they were not the only ones.
When I left university, I did not have a plan. Classes, examinations and grades were suddenly behind me, yet no one had taught me what came next.
No teacher had shown me how to design a life—not just a career, but life itself: how to choose meaningful work, build lasting relationships, develop friendships and a community, discover what truly matters, or make the countless decisions that quietly shape who we become.
Most of what I eventually learned came through experience: some through success, many through mistakes, and a few from people who unknowingly became my mentors. Surprisingly, many of those lessons also emerged while travelling.
Over time, I realised that the most valuable lessons were not simply the experiences themselves. They were the ways of thinking hidden inside them.
That is why I started documenting these stories—not because I believe I have figured life out, but because I hope someone standing at their own crossroads today might discover one idea that helps them see a little further than I could at their age.

I can’t relive my twenties. But perhaps these stories can help someone begin theirs with a wider horizon.
